Here I try to collect some of the possible applications of a panorama.

Box
Photograph of a cardboard box made from the contraption panorama. Finally,
this is real. You can hold it in your hands and spin it around.
As you do so, it is a bit wierd, because you are both "inside"
and "outside" at the same time.
Ball
These
are made from cylindrical panorama renderings, and feature an
anomaly at the equator, rather than at the poles.
However, the anomaly is only a second-order effect, in that the colors
on either side of the seam are equal.
