I like to switch between the camera and Director views very rapidly, so I set the preview to wireframe.
Set the Director view to the camera and vice versa.
If you like the camera view, I make the Director view equal to it.
If you like the Director view, I make the camera view equal to it.
Set the camera to Tripod.
Set the Director to Center To Selection.
