were used to make 3ds output. The result was fed into Bryce,
smoothed, mounted, textured, lit, and rendered.
It's
easy to merge these into your scene, they come with textures already applied.
Excellent for architectural rendering. With just a few in your repertoire,
you can fill an entire scene: using some scale, rotate and reflect transforms
makes it harder to identify copies.

Large files (002,
010) contain textures and geometry. Smaller
files contain geometry only.So far I've
used four basis shapes: Cone, Cylinder, Sphere and Plane.

When placing
the plants, it's often desirable to intermix different shapes, lengths and densities
of strands for a natural look. For example the sphere and cone may be used.
It looks natural to align the center of the two sets of strands. All the models
are based on one of the above basis shapes. Note that some plants may also have
optional tip objects of another shape.
For ease of
reference, the plants are grouped into 3x3 categories based on number and length
of the strands, as follows:
